For the single-family dwelling in the Stubai Valley, the integration of the surrounding environment was of highest importance. In line with this, as many views to the Stubai mountains as possible should be facilitated. While the style of the house was supposed to be modern, it should still adapt to the typical Tyrolean architecture and integrate itself harmoniously into the overall appearance of the village.
The single-family home was situated at great heights to allow for a wide range of views to its surroundings. Accordingly, the floors were kept rather small while creating a reasonable layout. Also, a connection to the existing building had to be realized. This was enabled by means of a bridge construction that resulted in a new terrace area. The deliberately chosen material was wood, in order to reflect the Tyrolean style despite the modern block construction.
