In a rural environment in the center of green woods and fields, the closeness to nature could not be more present. Among property surrounding trees the single family house in traditional-alpine style transforms into a modern new construction. A rich in contrast, minimalistic design with multiple materials, light-flooded rooms and the clean interior.
The wood panelling in combination with black-steel loosen up the townscape-typical style. Specific placement of window elements let the interior space blaze with brightness. The windows also allow a perspective from the east to the west-side and let the indoor space and the outdoors merge.
The exposed-concrete in the inside of the building is not just an aesthetic room divider but more an element with multiple functions such as a fireplace and a rack.
Also the concrete‘s core has it’s use. The concrete serves as a storage for thermic energy. Which means it cools down and accordingly heats the house. That is a cost-efficient and innovative way to regulate the temperature.
