A tribute to alpinism describes the deliberate consideration of the surrounding mountain landscape as well as the proper handling of the existing building were central topics when planning the storey-addition for a hotel in Tyrol. The addition was expected to remain true to the romantic style of the building while creating new opportunities for innovative design.
