The concept was developed as part of a building study for a project in an agricultural context.
In addition to the original function of a farm, it was the client’s wish to give people an understanding of the agricultural lifestyle while also being able to accommodate enthusiasts of the Tyrolean Mountain landscape and thus offer a unique experience and vacation opportunity at the same time.
The project includes a private residence, apartments, several modern chalets and production facilities for regional products. Farm rooms with stables find their place here, as well as a farm store including a tavern.
The modern architecture acts as a connection between agriculture and the vacation resort. It goes without saying that the entire project is planned to be sustainable and implemented with a focus on timber construction. Regional and traditional building forms are reformulated with modern lines and an ambitious choice of materials to create contemporary architecture in a rural context.
Due to the existing topography, a courtyard square was created below the main access, which functions for cultivation while also having a calming effect. The houses are embedded in the slope and describe on one hand an adaptation to the surroundings, on the other hand a play with the terrain.
The character of the architecture thus emerged and the ensemble was created.
