Intelligent extension of a hotel building to plan a hotelier's apartment.

In the March 2021 issue of Hotel News magazine, we presented a hotel extension in the Stubai Valley.

In this project, the conscious reaction to the surrounding mountain landscape was particularly important. In addition, respectful treatment of the existing building was a basic requirement in the planning. The extension of the building was to remain true to the romantic style of the building and still open up space for innovative design options. The implementation of the hotel extension was the result of a conscious examination of all the influencing factors. This led to the construction of a uniform, harmonious spatial concept and a strong reference to natural materials.

The extended body of the addition picks up on the dormers and the pitched roof, intelligently implementing the existing shape of the roof in the interior on the one hand, and leaving the exterior shape as unchanged as possible on the other, so that the house is brought into harmony with the surroundings and the existing roof.
