S.N.O.W. Planning and Project Management GmbH
The focus is on modern industrial buildings with sustainable architecture: a technical center for research and development and an employee building with a variety of communal functions. Both new buildings combine a clear design language, well thought-out functionality and energy-efficient planning. The implementation takes place in the context of a growing industrial area and underlines the demand for contemporary, sustainable architecture for working environments.
The technical center is planned as a laboratory, production and office building and is divided into two structures. The main wing comprises four above-ground and one underground storey with a gross floor area of around 6,700 m². Three elevated industrial halls are grouped around the central building and set clear architectural accents through their staggered positioning. An additional structure completes the ensemble with a further hall and office and meeting rooms above.
The interior of the building is characterized by an open reception area with generous air space, clearly zoned office, laboratory and meeting rooms as well as roof terraces on the upper levels. The construction method combines solid construction with open façade areas in mullion-transom construction. A shading system made of rotating sheet metal elements and a planned PV façade on areas that receive a lot of light ensure energy efficiency. Ventilation, heating and cooling are technically prepared via a future-oriented system of shafts, cavities, suspended ceilings and raised floors.
These modern industrial buildings with sustainable architecture not only offer space for technical innovation, but also make a strong statement in terms of design.
The new employee:interior building replaces an existing building and creates around 3,500 m² of usable space on three floors above ground and one below ground. The architecture follows a playfully structured concept that is oriented towards the different times and forms of use.
The basement houses technical and storage areas as well as a spacious changing area. The first floor is the central meeting point with a canteen for over 200 people. The second floor combines fitness, leisure and office areas, supplemented by a bistro. The second floor offers space for meetings, dining and events - including an auditorium. All floors are connected via a central access core, while an external staircase creates additional direct routes to the outside.
Here too, the construction is based on a solid construction method with selectively opened façade elements. The building envelope combines external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) with rendered surfaces and transparent mullion and transom façades. The technical equipment follows a sustainable overall concept and integrates intelligent solutions for energy, indoor climate and comfort.
The combination of functionality, quality of stay and clear architectural language creates modern industrial buildings with sustainable architecture that make the working environment sustainable and liveable.
