Building ecologically was the order of the day for the extension in Landeck. It was a matter close to the client's heart to do without chemical and petroleum-based materials as much as possible in order to conserve resources, so the location of the property in the middle of nature was the point of reference for the planning.
The aim was for the architecture to combine aesthetics and an ecological spirit. The construction consists of a complete timber cladding and thus creates a uniform shell over the extension and the existing building. This gives the building an elegant and slender appearance.
Especially in the interior, the natural building material wood appears extraordinarily smooth and elegant and ensures a pleasant indoor climate. This look also shows how versatile the material is. Building ecologically does not mean that you are restricted to a certain style, rather it is as multifaceted as nature itself and can therefore serve many styles. As it was the client's wish to use local timber in order to keep transport routes as short as possible, silver fir was used for the interior and larch for the façade.
