A semi-detached house with personality.

This semi-detached house in Tyrol was built in the middle of the countryside on an exposed slope. The plot shared by two brothers is very steep and can only be accessed from one side. However, it impresses with its breathtaking view! It was necessary to respond to these local conditions in the best possible way. This reaction can be seen, for example, in the offset of the houses, the outdoor facilities and the development of the houses. There was a desire for a Tyrolean-Alpine style paired with a modern approach. This was expressed through the traditional shapes of the gabled roofs and the use of many wooden elements in combination with modern components to provide contrast. This individual style was created primarily through close collaboration with the client and their influence on the design. This has given the project a great deal of personality. The open and bright design of the rooms contributes to a modern feeling of living. However, due to the limited floor space, it was also necessary to ensure that every niche and every space was used to its full potential.

The basement, a solid construction, houses the ancillary rooms and recreation rooms, which are oriented towards the garden. From the first floor upwards, the semi-detached house was built in timber construction. The wooden beams in the interior and the natural wooden façade have given it a character typical of Tyrol.

During the planning process, conscious attention was paid to separating the communal areas on the first floor from the individual areas on the upper floor. In addition to the well thought-out planning, it was above all the heart of the owners and their hard work and patience in difficult times that made the project so unique. You can really feel the positive character of the family, especially in the loving furnishings of the semi-detached house, which were developed single-handedly by the owners!
